  • Complete the minimum educational qualification, prescribed by SEBI.

  • Pass the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) certification exam, which is a requirement for all mutual fund distributors.

  • Register with the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI),the industry body that regulates mutual fund distribution in the country.

  • Enroll  with a mutual fund company to work with and apply for distributorship.

  • Obtain a valid insurance policy. It will enable you to protect your clients' investments, in case of any unforeseen circumstances.

  • Adhere to the code of conduct set by AMFI.
